His debut album, Day By Day, received very good reviews in the press and radio stations has picked up a few songs of the album. It is released under the new label, Upfront Music, and consists of a diverse collection of songs.
It is Charl's vocal, though, that makes this album uniquely 'him'. His dark voice gives the music a distinct flavour, but at times parallels can be drawn to such artists as Seal, Daniel Bedingfield and Michael English.
